Yellow button flowers in summer. Tansy tolerates most conditions but not totally wet soil. The plant has to be positioned with care as the roots are spreading. Tansy is therefore a good container plant. Tansy has medicinal use, but should only be used under medical supervision. It should not be used during pregnancy. Another use is as an insect repellent or against fleas by dogs.
