A plant native to Western Europe, central Asia and North Africa. An
ornamental plant which grows in moist to wet soil. Leaves and roots are
used for liquid extracts, ointments, syrups and teas. Noted for soothing
irritations and inflammations of the skin, throat, eyes, lungs and urinary
organs. White to pale pink flowers, like mallows.
