Well drained soil in sun. Upright perennial with square stems and pointed leaves that have white, hairy undersides and a mint like aroma. Small purple flowers in spikes in summer. Makes a pleasant tea and an unusual seasoning for meats and dressings. A mint plant which doesn’t spread out like the real mints.
