Loose Leaf Herbal Teas - Hand Crafted In Ireland
There is nothing more satisfying and enjoyable than the fresh taste of hand crafted, loose-leaf herbal tea. Unlike finely cut conventional tea found in mass manufactured tea bags, our loose-leaf herbal tea is fresh, fragrant, tasty, longer lasting and more economical. Our passion for freshness provides us with the groundwork that all of the herbal teas we blend are made fresh prior to your order and exclusively with aromatic organic materials, some grown and harvested on our farm in beautiful West Cork. It is this simple recipe that enables us to provide a tea, which is unrivalled in taste, colour, depth and aroma, and in fact we firmly believe nobody can deliver a better cup.
Infusion
Most teas made from leaves petals and flowers are prepared by infusion. Infusion allows the oils in the parts of the herb to be released gently; if the herbs were boiled, the oils would evaporate.
Place tea in the pot, pour in boiling water, and allow mixture to steep for 5-10 minutes, or until the delicate flavours are released. To extract most herbs medicinal properties, steep for 15-30 minutes. Strain and serve.
Decoction
The decoction method is used mainly for teas made from roots, seeds and barks whose active ingredients are more difficult to release. Herbal teas prepared by decoction generally tend to stay fresher than do teas prepared by infusion.
Bring water to boil over high heat. Add seeds, roots or bark, reduce temperature, and allow mixture to simmer for 5 to 10 or 20 minutes.
(rose hips, lemon balm, cloves)
Cloves and rose hips give a spicy taste to this blend, which is high in vitamin C.
(basil, chamomile, mint)
This is a good tea for a stress headache, especially when youre trying to sleep
(lavender, rosemary, lemon balm, mint)
A combination with lavender aroma and minty taste, but with an aftertaste of China tea.
(peppermint, black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, cloves)
A perfect brew for a cold crisp winter morning, to have a good start in the new day.
(spearmint, green tea)
Similar to the traditional Moroccan Tea. Traditionally it is served very sweet.
(peppermint, lemon verbena, rose petals, sage)
Sage and peppermint are high in minerals such as iron, magnesium and calcium. Lemon verbena and rose petals to taste. All together a delicious tea.
(chamomile, lemon balm)
An easy tea with herbs that are easy to grow and easy to drink. A lovely tea for the end of a long productive day.
(green tea, rosemary, rose hips, lemon peel, cinnamon, cloves)
If you have trouble to find your brain in the morning this tea will help you. The fresh clean taste of rosemary with the green tea for kick and some familiar morning flavours makes this a wonderful tea.
(lemon balm, caraway, fennel, orange peel, cinnamon, cardamom)
The lemony taste combined with fennel and caraway which are both considered an excellent stomach remedy makes this a good tea to drink after dinner.

(sage, mint, lemon balm, lemon peel)
This tea stimulates the appetite and gives energy. It tastes also unsweetened.
(peppermint, basil thyme) A tea when you have played too many roles. Peppermint, basil and thyme give this tea a strong flavour, but also helps to soothe and relax.
(black tea, ginger, cardamon, cinnamon)
Chai normally has to contain three ingredients, strong black tea, ginger and cardamon.Here cinnamon is added for taste. Add milk if you like.
Assam is a province in India, which produces a strong robust tea with a bright golden coppery cup.
A superior quality tea, from one of the oldest plantations around Darjeeling with a fine typical unique flavour.
Gunpowder green tea has rolled leaves therefore the name, the leaves look like gunpowder pellets. The tea comes from China and has a more tangy, bitter flavour.
Sencha is the first and second flush of green tea, with is the most common green tea in Japan made from leaves that are exposed directly to sunlight.
