Dill is found in Mediterranean regions and western Asia. Dill resembles fennel but is shorter, with a single, easily uprooted stem, slightly gray green leaves, and matt, rather than shiny, appearance. Umbels of yellow flowers in summer, followed by ovoid, flattened, aromatic seeds.
